Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 534876) (to commence as soon as possible for ONE year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

 

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree or above in Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, or a related discipline.  They should demonstrate excellent work attitudes, strong communication skills, and proficiency in written English and Cantonese.  A basic knowledge of data analysis software such as SPSS, R, Mplus, Atlas.ti, or Nvivo is required.  The candidate should be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.  Prior experience in data collection, data analysis, quantitative and qualitative research, project evaluation, and report or grant writing is preferred.  Desirable attributes include an interdisciplinary academic background; experience conducting research in Cantonese; and, substantial experience with crowdsourcing and designathon research.

 

The appointee will have the opportunity to join a highly dynamic research team led by Prof. William Wong which involves medical professionals, epidemiologist, and psychologists in the field of Family Medicine and Primary Care.  The appointee will work on various projects related to health promotion, chronic diseases, and infectious disease.  Applicants possessing higher qualification and/or more experience will be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I.

 

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
