Applications are invited for appointment as Research Officer/Assistant Research Officer in the Department of Chemistry (Ref.:534941), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry and a strong background and experience in the management and/or operation of interdisciplinary and cross-institutional collaborative research programmes.  In addition, strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, a strong sense of responsibility, and self-motivation are essential.  Enquiries about the post should be sent to Professor V.W.W. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 15% of basic salary for Research Officer or 10% of basic salary for Assistant Research Officer.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
