Research Assistant Professor in the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref.: 536323)

Duties and Responsibilities

• To lead highly innovative research projects in DNA nanotechnology, biomedical materials science, synthetic biology and related areas.
• To build global interdisciplinary collaborations in related research areas with biomedical impact.
• To secure external competitive grants.
• To supervise and co-supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• To be actively involved in innovative teaching in biomedical sciences and biomedical engineering.
• To perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• A Ph.D. degree, preferably in biomedical sciences, biochemistry, chemistry, materials science, or related fields.
• At least 2–3 years of postdoctoral research experience is preferred.
• Strong background in DNA nanotechnology and interdisciplinary research.
• Strong track record of high-quality research, demonstrated by publications and successful grant applications.
• Experience in mentoring and teaching.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• A high sense of responsibility and research integrity, with the ability to work independently, collaboratively, and under pressure.

What We Offer

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, with the possibility of renewal up to 3 years subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
