Student Affairs Assistant I / Student Affairs Assistant II (at the rank of Clerk II / Clerical Assistant) (several posts) in the Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS) (Ref: 536359), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal.

The Role

  • Assist with the administration and operations of a cluster of residences, and be responsible for general office administration;
  • Handle inquiries and student matters in a timely manner;
  • Coordinate residence meetings, events and service projects;
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies, handle procurement, and ensure stock availability;
  • Record income and expenses, process invoices and payments, and assist with various financial tasks;
  • Offer support to student residents by addressing their inquiries and concerns; and
  • Coordinate residents' move-ins, move-outs and room relocations.

The appointees may be deployed to various clusters of student residences based on operational needs, as determined by the Dean of Student Affairs.

Qualifications and Qualities

  • Preferably a recognized degree or diploma;
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience;
  • A good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  • Good organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently;
  • Attention to details and a good team player;
  • Genuine interest in student welfare and student development; and
  • Proficiency in PC applications such as MS Office Suite, knowledge of AI applications or Canva would be an advantage.
  • Those with less experience and/or lower qualifications may be appointed as Student Affairs Assistant II.

What We Offer

The appointment will be made on fixed term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence on July 1, 2026, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
