Administrative Assistant I/II in Research Services of the Registry (Ref.: 537199)
The Role
The appointee will provide administrative and operational support for research-related events, internal and external research grants and awards, committee servicing and other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and Section Head.
Qualifications and Qualities
Applicants should have a good University degree with at least 10 years’ working experience in the higher education sector, of which at least 5 years should be at the supervisory or management level. They should have extensive knowledge of research administration, including the administration of research grants and awards, committee servicing and the organisation of research-related events. They should demonstrate excellent communication skills, with good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; IT competency and AI literacy; a strong sense of responsibility; and the ability to work under pressure, work on their own initiative, meet tight deadlines and set priorities with minimal supervision. They should also be mature, meticulous, self-motivated, and a good team player with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on a full-time fixed-term contract for two years, to commence as soon as possible, with the possibility of renewal. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary for Administrative Assistant I, or 10% of basic salary for Administrative Assistant II. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits. Applicants with less experience may be considered for appointment as Administrative Assistant II.
