Executive Officer / Clerk I in the Centre for Civil Society and Governance (Ref.: 537337) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should have a good Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years’ full-time work experience in office and teaching programme administration. They should have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; good communication and organizational skills; a good teamwork attitude and a strong sense of responsibility. A practical knowledge of computer and web applications (including MS Office, WordPress and video-conferencing software) is preferred. Skills in graphic design and proficiency with tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator will also be an advantage. Preference will be given to those who have work experience in tertiary education, teaching programme promotion, and research/action project administration. Those with less experience or qualifications may be considered for the Clerk I.

The appointee will work with other administrators and be responsible for providing administrative support to the Centre and its academic programmes, projects and events. Duties include, but are not limited to, office management, admissions and enrollment, student affairs, event organisation, social media management, content creation and design. Multitasking skills are important and working outside normal office hours and on weekends may be occasionally required. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
