Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Surgery (to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Medical Sciences, Bioinformatics, or a related discipline. Experience in patient liaison, database management, and medical statistical analysis, would be a strong advantage.
The appointee will support clinical trials and research projects. Hands-on training will be provided for trial-related procedures where necessary. Applicants should be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and collaboratively. Effective communication with Cantonese-speaking patients and clinical teams is expected. Authorship opportunities will be available where contributions merit.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointments on two-year fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
