Research Assistant I/II in Biomarker Discovery and Antibody, Immunoassay Development in the Department of Medicine and the State Key Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology (Ref.: 499667) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis or a one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should have a Master’s degree or above in Biomedical Sciences, Immunology, Molecular Biology or a related discipline, with good knowledge of molecular biology or biochemistry and related basic laboratory techniques.  Experience in protein chemistry, immunoassays, clinical diagnosis, antibody production and purification would be an advantage.  The appointee will work on discovery, expression and purification of new hormones and biomarkers related to cardio-metabolic diseases; generation of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies; and development of innovative immunoassays for clinical diagnosis.  Details of the Research and Development activities can be found at and  Enquiries about the post can be sent to Miss Lily Li at or Dr. Kelsey Zhong at  Those who have responded to the previous advertisement (Ref.: 499278) need not re-apply.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointment on fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
