Applications are invited for appointment as Executive Education Programmes Director (at the rank of Administrative Assistant I) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 499829), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should have a good Master’s degree, preferably in Business subjects, with at least 12 years’ work experience and no less than 7 years’ experience at management level, including experience in business development, complex sales, and strategic partnership development. They should be strong team builders and outcome-driven leaders, with good connections with the professional community and industry, and be able to develop and define the business strategy in order to build pipelines and achieve sales, revenue, profitability and growth targets. They should also be innovative, and possess strategic thinking and effective organization skills in initiating and supervising plans to ensure high-quality outputs under tight deadlines. They should have experience in management, supervisory and budget administration; excellent interpersonal skills and excellent presentation and communication skills in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); the ability to communicate with a range of audiences; and a high level of computer proficiency. A good knowledge of executive education market/industry in the Asian and Mainland markets is required and a solid understanding of the higher education sector in business will definitely be an advantage.
Directly reporting to the Associate Dean (Executive Education), the appointee will play a key role in building the Faculty’s executive education programmes to increase its impact and connection with business corporations and public sectors. He/She will be responsible for developing and delivering the executive education programmes as well as facilitating collaboration pre-, post-, and during programmes; overseeing programme design and implementation in partnership with a team of individuals focused on the financial, operational, and administrative aspects, with keen attention to and the responsibility for success in both content delivery and programme logistics; and playing an active role in building network among participants of the programmes and sustaining long-term relationships. He/She will work at the Faculty’s Cyberport Office, and may be required to travel occasionally and work on weekends.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
