Research Assistant I/II (several posts) in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 504749) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in public health, medical science, biomedicine, or related disciplines. They should have a good command of spoken and written of English and Chinese (including Putonghua), and a keen interest in epidemiological research. They should be organized, responsible, detail-minded, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a team. Experience in clinical research, blood-taking and statistical analysis, and knowledge of infectious disease epidemiology would be advantages.

The appointee will work on community-based studies of the epidemiology and vaccine responses of respiratory virus infections including COVID-19 and influenza. They will recruit participants in outreach centres and conduct regular participant follow-up activities including in-person/telephone interviews, specimen collection, health education, and perform other duties as assigned. Irregular working hours may be required occasionally.
