Research Assistant I/II (Data Analyst) in The Hong Kong Jockey Club Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention within the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 526395)

 

We now invite applications for the captioned post to assist in research project for community mental wellbeing.

 

Requirements

  • A good Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines
  • Relevant experience in data analytics, system development and machine learning and project management;
  • Knowledge of programming in data analytics (i.e., R, Python, SAS) and DBMS such as MSSQL
  • Good attention to detail, good communication and interpersonal skills, able to work independently and in teams, and competence in time management.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for statistical analysis and modelling, supervise methodology for data collection, data quality control and task progress management. 
  • Run the statistical models and machine learning algorithms for analyzing and identifying the patterns and trends of suicidal behaviors
  • Assist statistical analysis, dashboard development, methodology research, and data collection
  • Perform other research-related duties as assigned. 

 

What We Offer

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
