IT Officer (holding the functional title of System Analyst) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 534581) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
 
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to the following: 
 
• Develop and maintain in-house web applications and websites, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure solutions;
 
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI-driven improvements in workflows and services;
 
• Collect requirements, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and provide training for the systems;
 
• Ensure all solutions comply with ethical standards, data privacy regulations, and University policies; 
 
• Stay updated on emerging trends in AI, web technologies, and software development, and proactively recommend innovative solutions; and
 
• Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications and Requirements
 
• A good Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or other related disciplines;
 
• Minimum of 5 years’ solid programming and system development experience, preferably with knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC);
 
• Strong knowledge of web technologies including PHP, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript;
 
• Experience with PHP frameworks and Linux web server setup;
 
• Sound knowledge with AI applications;
 
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
 
• Friendly interpersonal skills, self-motivation, a strong sense of responsibility, and ability to work as a good team member; and
 
• Capable of multi-tasking and delivering satisfactory results within timeframe. 
 
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
