Project Manager (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 499040) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should have a good Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years’ administrative work experience at supervisory or management level in education institutions, and preferably with experience in working with academic research groups. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They should be able to work independently as well as in a team, multi-task, work under tight schedule, and exercise good judgment.
The appointee will oversee a fellowship training scheme in the antimicrobial resistance research group. He/She will plan and coordinate training and learning activities for visiting fellows; organize local and overseas workshops and meetings; manage budgets and finances; prepare reports, presentations and evaluation materials; provide support to academic visits including visa, travel and related logistics arrangements; liaise with funders, trainers and internal parties; and perform other duties as assigned. He/She will also work closely with the principal investigator, group research manager and academic seniors. Work outside normal office hours and on weekends may be required occasionally. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and/or a written test.
