Research Assistant I/II in the Division of Public Health Laboratory Sciences of the School of Public Health (Ref.: 501777) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences. Knowledge of molecular biology techniques including nucleic acid extraction, RT-qPCR, conventional PCR tests and DNA sequencing is an advantage. The appointee will work in a research group led by Professor Malik Peiris studying influenza viruses in swine and avian hosts. He/She will collect animal and environmental samples in the field.
