IT Officer in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 503759) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, information engineering or other IT-related disciplines, with at least one year’s work experience in client-server, web-based system development or solution implementation. They should have a sound understanding of agile approach, API, and server administration. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua). They should be organized, responsible, detail-minded, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team. Hands-on experience in using React.js, NodeJS, PHP, MS SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS and HTML5 would be an advantage.

The appointee will design, build, and enhance software systems based on business requirements; develop system mock-up; provide server maintenance; perform system tests; prepare system documentation such as architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and system operations manuals; and provide end-user support by handling users’ enquiries and requests.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
