Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.: 508523) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Social Sciences, Social Policy, Sociology or Statistics, with at least one year’s post-qualification work experience. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese); strong communication skills; familiarity with quantitative (using statistical software such as SPSS, R) and qualitative research methods; and ability to work independently and as a team. Irregular working hours and outdoor work may be required.
The appointee will contribute to multiple projects relating to social capital, social inclusion and community empowerment. He/She will be responsible for literature review; data collection; data input; data analysis; coordination of research and outreach activities; liaison with NGO partners; preparation of reports and papers; and performing any other research-related duties as assigned.
