Project Coordinator (at the rank of Research Assistant I/II) in the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine and the State Key Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology (Ref.: 527404)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • work on a clinical trial with overweight and obese individuals with prediabetes
  • assist in project management and patient recruitment
  • collect and analyse data
  • carry out specific strength and fitness training interventions and assessments
  • prepare presentations and reports
  • perform other duties as assigned
  • irregular working hours may be required occasionally

Requirements

  • a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Sports Science, Exercise and Fitness, Public Health, or a related discipline
  • background in biomedical sciences; work experience in exercise prescription and testing, and project management; and/or professional certifications in fitness training areas would be advantageous
  • an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese
  • good interpersonal, organizational (project management) and communication skills
  • a strong sense of responsibility
  • IT proficiency
  • ability to multi-task and be able to work actively and independently, as well as in a team

 

What We Offer

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis or 2-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave, medical benefits and free access to on-campus gyms and libraries.
